STUDENT ART OPPORTUNITIES
We have many opportunities throughout the school year for students to showcase their artwork at the Museum!
Our two annual events are the Student Art Exhibition in the Spring and our SpaceXplore rocket design competition on Astronomy day in April.
Other opportunities come up throughout the year, so please keep in touch to see what other exciting shows or contests are available.
2020 STUDENT ART EXHIBITION: TINY ART
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” – Vincent Van Gogh
The Museum of the Southwest’s 2020 On the Rise: Student Art Exhibition will focus on the theme “Tiny Art: Miniature Works with Big Ideas.” Students are encouraged to create high-quality works in small scale in any medium. All works of art must be between 4”x4” and 9”x12”.
Students may submit individual works of art or can work together to create a larger work out of their individual pieces. The sky is the limit with your tiny work of art!
Entries are due in February 2020. Please click here for a copy of the entry form.
